Small Passive Packaging

Small passive packaging refers to compact, insulated containers designed to maintain temperature-sensitive products within a specific range during transportation, without the use of active cooling systems.

These packages rely on pre-conditioned coolants like gel packs, dry ice, or phase change materials (PCMs) to regulate temperature. They are typically lightweight, cost-effective, and ideal for short-duration shipments or small quantities of items.

See below for various shipping temperature with small passive containers:

+15°C to +25°C
(Controlled ambient)

+2°C to +8°C
(Refrigerated)

-25°C to -15°C
(Frozen) with restricted access control

Cryogenic Temperature

Whether shipping stem cells, RNA samples or cell & gene therapy, GCCS is well-equipped with LN2 dry shipper packaging, a specialised solution to transport at -180 Deg C. Our cryogenic shipping includes proactive shipment monitoring.

Active Containers

GCCS uses specialized insulated containers to maintain temperature-sensitive products at a consistent temperature during transportation. They are equipped with built-in temperature regulation systems, such as electrical cooling mechanisms or dry ice, to actively control the internal environment.

Active containers can be powered by electricity or batteries, thus allowing them to be plugged in during customs clearance or unforeseen delays.

These containers are highly secure and tightly sealed throughout the whole shipment journey.
